The original brewery was built in 1844 by house owners, who were permitted to brew beer in their homes. The brewery went bankrupt it 1999 and the dilapidating building was later rebuilt by the regional authority into their seat. The whole area was rebuilt and the medieval structures were reconstructed. The area contains offices, parking house, gallery, minibrewery, restaurant and a department of art. In the middle of the area is the Brewery plaza. A new stairwell was built into the bailey terrace, which was equipped with rest areas and a unique light-sound installation „Zpívající stromy“ (Singing trees). [58]
