The Cultural guide

The main purpose of this cultural guide is to increase the orientation and acclimatization of FIM international students, to help overcome a potential cultural shock and brings a closer understanding of the city’s culture and the general population of the Czech Republic. It is created according to the preferences of foreign students on FIM UHK identified in a special research. The Hradec Králové region offers many possible cultural activities, but this guide is focused solely on the city of Hradec Králové.

The Guide contains the following information:

• An overview of the most visited cultural events in HK divided into semesters
• An overview of the most interesting Czech customs and traditions and their brief description

• A brief overview of HK’s historical cafes and restaurants
• Interactive maps
• A list of Information centers
• Important web links in English (the official web page of HK, the Czech Republic IC etc.)
