Garden is a popular resting area in the city. Many cultural events take place in the park (i.e. promenade concerts). The park is located at the confluence of the Elbe and Orlice and is made in the image of English natural parks with French gardening. There is the famous bronze statue depicting the confluence of the Elbe and Orlice made by Jan Škoda in 1934, and also a unique wooden church of st. Nicholas and a music pavilion are situated here. A remnant of the old fortress can also be found in the park, a tunnel leading to a rose garden. [49]
