was founded in 1880. The museum is currently in possession of more than 3 000 000 items, which are a part of archeological, natural science and historical collections and is the largest museum in the region of Hradec Králové. Some of the most precious exhibits include Elizabeth Richeza’s belt, tools from the city’s torture chambers, prehistoric exhibits and also a memorial to the battle of Chlum 1866 (second largest battle of the 19th century).
