On November 11th "Saint Martin arrives on his white horse". It is a Czech folk saying, which means that winter is coming with its the first snow. The traditional St. Martin’s meal is goose with the first Saint Martin's wine. An event also takes place In Hradec Králové called “The welcoming of St. Martin under the White Tower” and it celebrates the arrival of the winter tourist season. Part of the event is Saint Martin’s markets and blacksmith craft demonstrations. Martin's markets are also held close to Adalbertinum. There is a free entry to all the events. [5]
