The International Conference on Technology in Mathematics Teaching (ICTMT) brings together educators, researchers and developers with a common interest in enhancing the teaching and learning of mathematics through the use of Information and Communications Technology.

The ICTMT goals are:
  • to provide a forum for presenting research in mathematics education and innovative teaching methods based on integration of ICT to mathematics teaching;
  • to give the opportunity to mathematics teachers, educators and researchers to share their teaching ideas and classroom experience;
  • in this way, to motivate further collaboration in this perspective among members of the mathematics education community.

The 8 th International Conference on Technology in Mathematics Teaching will take place at the University of Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, July 1- 4, 2007.

The first International Conference on Technology in Mathematics Teaching was held at the University of Birmingham in September 1993.

This was an initiative of Professors Bert K. Waits and Frank Demana of Ohio State University, USA to take a successful national series of conferences in America to an international constituency. Subsequently the conference has taken place every two years.
